Apple and Samsung – No Mediation?

The post Apple and Samsung – No Mediation? appeared first on MoTech Radio.

Samsung vs. Apple The continued battle between Samsung and Apple rages on, with no signs of letting up. Those who hoped that they could come to some sort of an agreement in a meeting that occurred earlier in February have been disappointed:

Mediation Fails for Samsung and Apple SAN JOSE, Calif. — Apple and Samsung Electronics have failed to settle their latest patent dispute despite a daylong meeting between top Samsung executives and Apple’s chief executive, Timothy D. Cook, hosted by a mediator earlier this month. …

Mercury News writes the following about the 2-year-old-case:

“Apple and Samsung, in the court document, revealed that executives with the two companies have had ongoing discussions with the undisclosed mediator, and that they would continue to do so. But there was no indication that the smartphone wars between the two companies are close to a resolution.”

Both sides, however, have been communicating with the mediator. While anything has yet to come of it, they both seem willing to continue working towards some sort of mediation:

Mediation fails to bridge Apple and Samsung’s patent divide The top executives of Apple and Samsung have failed to reach an agreement that would end an ongoing fight over smartphone and tablet patents, lawyers for the two companies said late Friday. …

If they don’t come to some agreement, they’ll go to court again in March. Do you think these two giants will ever get over their complaints against each other?
